Don’t Cut Care for Kids: A Nationwide Campaign

  • What is the "Don't Cut Care for Kids" Campaign?

CCHI’s Don’t Cut Care for Kids campaign is a national effort to protect critical funding that helps children get and stay covered through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Connecting Kids to Coverage (CKC) program.

With threats to CMS funding on the horizon, we’re mobilizing advocates, organizations, and families across the country to urge policymakers to protect children, by not cutting care!

  • Why is the Connecting Kids to Coverage Program important?

The Centers of Medicaid & Medicare Services (CMS) has helped millions of children access coverage under the Connecting Kids to Coverage (CKC) Program.

This federally funded program powers trusted nonprofit organizations throughout the country to break down barriers, reach families, and keep kids healthy.

As a current grantee of the Connecting Kids to Coverage Program, CCHI works with 6 community-based organizations in 9 California counties to ensure better health outcomes for children, parents, and pregnant individuals!

  • How can I get involved?

There are many ways you and your organization can show support for the Don’t Cut Care for Kids Campaign!

Individuals and organizations are invited to formally join our coalition and stand with advocates across the country fighting to protect Medicaid and CHIP.

Once you're connected, you’ll get access to our shared Google Drive with campaign updates, social media templates, and letter templates to help you take action.

We also encourage you to write to your representatives, share your story, and speak out on social media using #DontCutCareForKids.
